Book Nook: An Interview With Phil Marshall

"The Great War-Fred F. Marshall-Letters Home"

"Fred F. Marshall, Volume II-Poetry, Prose, and Photos"

"DMZ Dustoff VietNam-True Stories of the Unarmed Medevac Missions as Told by the Men Who Flew Them"

There are some very prolific writers. Norah Roberts has written hundreds of books. James Patterson seems to put out a book every five minutes or so. Recently I became aware of a very prolific writer who lives just down the road from WYSO over in the town of Enon. Phil Marshall has spent most of his life here in Greene County and as you'll discover when listening to my conversation with Phil, he has published a lot of books.

I spoke to him about a couple of recent projects, two books that contain a plethora of material related to his great-uncle, the late Fred F. Marshall, a native of Cedarville who served in WWI and then went on to become a prolific writer with a particular interest in the history of Greene County.

The Book Nook on WYSO is presented by the Greene County Public Library with additional support from Washington-Centerville Public Library, Clark County Public Library, Dayton Metro Library, and Wright Memorial Public Library.
