Planned prior to the pandemic, Charlie and Amanda Jackson will release their first duo album, The King and Queen of Dayton Country (Magnaphone Records) this week. Charlie and Amanda spoke with Kaleidoscope host Juliet Fromholt about recording the album at Dayton's Reel Love Recording Company, singing together, and releasing an album in the time of coronavirus.
The King and Queen of Dayton Countrywill be available on all major streaming platforms and on Bandcamp on Saturday, July 25. That evening, Charlie and Amanda Jackson will celebrate the release with a socially distanced performance at Dayton's Yellow Cab Tavern.
