This evening is First Friday with all kind of events going on in downtown Dayton until 11p.m., and if you go to the Front Street Building on East Second Street, you can take a stroll through open studios, workshops, art galleries, and more. Visit with their artists, catch live demos, and experience the wide variety of art Dayton has to offer.
International Women's Day is Saturday, and in Dayton there is from different cultures and backgrounds. They can learn on how to take care of themselves emotionally and to identify and eliminate barriers that prevent their achievement and personal growth. The event is at Grace United Methodist Church on Harvard Boulevard on Saturday from 11am to 3:30pm.
Our Lady of Grace Parish Fish Fry is hosted by Corpus Christi & Our Lady of Mercy here in Dayton. It is Saturday 6 to 11pm....and I know one of their chefs!
Are you hungry for pancakes? Head over to the Charity A. Krueger Farm Discovery Center for a traditional Pancake Brunch. There will be continuous serving on Sunday from 10am to 1pm.
Take a demo and hear about Mary Beth Whitley's art work that integrates nature, photography, and the encaustic process. A hands-on workshop for leaf-embellishment will be offered following the demo and talk at the on Sunday, 1:30 to 4:30pm.
There is this website called DECODING DAYTON. It has videos showing and talking about various city streets and buildings. It explores the essential coding of Dayton and how it has reshaped over time.
