The Doctor from India film is a meditative and immersive portrait of the life and work of Dr. Vasant Lad, the holistic health pioneer who first brought the ancient medical practice from India to the west in the late 1970s. He was both a healer and a mystic, and dedicated his life to sharing what is considered the oldest healthcare system on earth to our complex medical landscape . This film is at on Saturday and Sunday at noon.

is doing a powerful 57-minute oratorio entitled Bayard Rustin: The Man Behind the Dream. It tells the dramatic story of Rustin who was a close associate of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Rustin introduced King to Ghandian non-violent methods of protest and was also largely responsible for organizing the massive and historic March on Washington in 1963. This is tonight at Westminster Presbyterian Church. There is no charge but donations accepted!
The Peace Dayton Collaborative Group is a consortium of over 100 Dayton and Miami Valley organizations and they are hosting 50 local peace events during September. This is in celebration and commemoration of U.N. International Day of Peace. Check it out at peacedayton.org/calendar/
