Zoot artists are developing a new show called Hope In Flight, and it premieres on Saturday and Sunday, 2pm in the downtown Dayton Library's Eichelberger Forum. The family-friendly show has no cost and open to everyone.
Traditional Butchering. You can watch the age-old activity of processing meat, a staple of the 19th century farmer's diet. On Saturday the hog is scraped, cleaned and cooled. On Sunday the meat is prepared into the various cuts such as ribs, roasts, and hams. Also, you can see as meat is then salted, cured, and made into sausage. .
There is a film at the called Two Blue Lines: Palestine & Israel. It was shot over a period of 25 years and it examines the human and political situation of Palestinian people from the years prior to the creation of Israel to the present day. This is Sunday at 2 PM.
Aullwood's Winter Speaker Series is Sunday from 2:30 to 4pm. Katie Fallon is an author and founder of the Avian Conservation Center of Appalachia dedicated to conserving wild birds through research, education, and rehabilitation. She will be talking about Vultures: The Private Life Of An Unloved Bird.
