Hospital, health care systems and their staff have been working around the clock across the country on a variety of coronavirus issues, according to the .

In addition to identifying, isolating and treating patients, they are also working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on how to best preserve existing supplies of personal protective equipment like masks, face shields and gowns due to concerns about limited supplies.

In a prerecorded interview, Cincinnati Edition speaks with Nancy Foster, vice president for quality and patient safety at the American Hospital Association. Ms. Foster talks about the efforts to protect health care workers to ensure they have the personal protective equipment, training and support they need to care for patients.
