You know her as bubbly teenager Stephanie Tanner from ABC’s “Full House.”
What you might not know about actress Jodie Sweetin is her addiction to drugs and alcohol for more than a decade between the end of the popular sitcom in 1995 and the Netflix spin-off “Fuller House.” Sweetin, who was 5 when the John Stamos-Bob Saget series premiered in 1987, will share her story about drug abuse at Northern Kentucky University Tuesday, Nov. 29, to raise funds for NKY Hates Heroin.
The former child star, now 34, revealed her substance abuse and battle to stay clean after motherhood in her 2009 autobiography, “unSweetened.” She’s been clean for five years, according to the NKU media release announcing her appearance at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Greaves Concert Hall in the Fine Arts building on NKU’s Highland Heights campus.
