The forensic investigator is raising questions about the whereabouts of a special audit of the State Teachers Retirement System announced more than a year ago, which came about after a report he did for retired Ohio teachers.

It’s been four years since half a million retired teachers in Ohio have gotten cost of living increases from their pension fund. And with inflation on the rise, teachers have howled about how the lack of those increases has been eating into their benefits.

Retired educators had commissioned a review of the State Teachers Retirement System after questioning fees and bonuses.

State auditor Keith Faber's office wrote to the State Teachers Retirement System informing them of the plans for the special audit.
