The Ohio Department of Natural Resources said thousands of aquatic species, including minnows, fish, crayfish and amphibians, died due chemical contamination after a train derailment in East Palestine.

The clinic will be staffed by medical professionals and experts in exposure to contamination.

Rail operator Norfolk Southern announced Tuesday that it is creating a $1 million charitable fund to help the community of some 4,700 people while continuing remediation work, including removing spilled contaminants from the ground and streams and monitoring air quality.

The possible sale of Cincinnati Southern Railway could double the annual revenue for existing city infrastructure projects.
