Nalah Jackson, who kidnapped infant twins outside a Short North restaurant in late 2022, has been sentenced to more than 23 years in prison.

Nalah Jackson is accused of kidnapping 5-month old twin brothers Ky'air and Kasan Thomas outside a Short North Donatos restaurant in Dec. 2022.

A federal judge decided at a Friday hearing that if released, 24-year-old Nalah T. Jackson may not show up for her trial and could pose a threat to the safety of the community.

Columbus police officers responded to a home on a report on January 30 that Ky'Air Thomas was not breathing. The boy was taken to Nationwide Children's Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

According to Columbus police, on the night of Dec. 19, Nalah Jackson stole a vehicle from outside a Donato's Pizza restaurant on North High Street near 1st Avenue while 5-month-old twins Kasan and Kyair Thomas were inside the vehicle.
