The Virgin Islands Attorney General's Office says Epstein recruited and abused young women and girls over two decades on his two private islands. Some victims allegedly were as young as 11 years old.

After first reporting that the video had been preserved, prosecutors now say that further investigation shows officials "inadvertently preserved video from the wrong tier" within the Manhattan prison.

Prosecutors say the two officers neglected to check on Epstein every half-hour, as they were required to, and falsified prison logs to make it appear as if they were keeping an eye on him.

But that's not the end of it. Despite the dismissal of sex trafficking charges because of his suicide, Epstein's accusers have sued his estate and authorities continue to investigate his associates.

The financier's suicide in jail appeared to rob his accusers — again — of their chance to denounce him publicly. On Tuesday, they're getting a chance to tell their stories in the courtroom anyway.

A woman in New York said she was raped by the financier who was charged with sex trafficking. "Today I am starting to reclaim my power," Jennifer Araoz said.

At approximately 6:30 a.m. Saturday, the wealthy financier accused of sex trafficking was found unresponsive in his jail cell by an apparent suicide. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
