The loan servicing giant has agreed to cancel student loan debts owed by roughly 66,000 borrowers as part of a settlement reached with 39 state attorneys general.

Stranded credits are credits those students have earned but cannot access because of money they owe their school. Students who have debt will be able to re-enroll at their original school or one of the seven others.
