Former Franklin County Sheriff's deputy Michael Jason Meade took the stand Tuesday to defend himself against charges of murder and reckless homicide in the 2020 shooting death of Casey Goodson Jr.

Prosecutors continued calling forensic witnesses Friday as the first week of the murder trial for Michael Jason Meade trial wrapped up.

Goodson's uncle, grandmother and sister testified Thursday at Meade's trial and each described what they saw when Goodson was shot and killed at their home.
