Franklin County coroner's office

Hajna Abdi was reported missing Friday morning.

The 56,000 square foot facility opened in May 2020, but never got a celebration ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Nathaniel Overmire said the report is helping him do his job.

Franklin County is appropriating additional money to the coroner's office to help it overcome a staffing shortage. Most of the $500,000 will go to Hamilton County to handle post mortem examinations.
