The playing surface inside Ohio Stadium will have a sponsor's logo on the field for the first time when the Buckeyes kick off next weekend.
Ohio State will play now play on Safelite Field inside of Ohio Stadium, the university announced on Friday.
Safelite, the Columbus-based vehicle glass services and recalibration company, will have two white logos on the field opposite the Big Ten Conference logos at both 25-yard-lines.
The company expanded its partnership with Ohio State’s athletics department through a new multiyear sponsorship in agreement with Learfield’s Ohio State Sports Properties, the university announced. No financial terms were disclosed.
Safelite became the first company to sponsor a logo on field goal netting, according to the university.
No 2. Ohio State will open the 2022 season against No. 5 Notre Dame next Saturday, Sept. 3 at 8 p.m. in a prime-time matchup.
