Golfing legend Jack Nicklaus is sued for breach of contract

Jack Nicklaus is being sued by his own company.

The Golden Bear and his company GBI are being sued by Nicklaus Companies, LLC. The lawsuit was filed on May 13 in the Supreme Court of New York. It claims 82-year-old golf legend Jack Nicklaus actively worked against the company on several occasions after he had reached a $145 million exclusive deal with the company.

The suit also says he has refused to provide services and property that were part of that agreement.

Nicklaus is also accused of helping design golf courses and offering commercial endorsements on his own but not on behalf of Nicklaus Companies, LLC

Nicklaus Companies was initially founded in 1970 and designs golf courses, and sells apparel, eyewear, art and more.

Attorneys for Jack Nicklaus and Jack Nicklaus, LLC. could not be reached prior to the publishing of this article.
