Former President Trump is in Milwaukee for the start of tonight’s Republican National Convention, two days after an assassination attempt on his life.

President Biden last night called for unity and to turn down the temperature on political rhetoric. Trump also called for unity on Truth Social, his social media site.

Ohio leaders reacted to the shooting, and we’ll be talking about all that and more on today’s Reporter Roundtable.

Guests:

  • Julie Carr Smyth, Government and Politics Reporter, The Associated Press
  • Sarah Donaldson, Statehouse News Bureau
  • Marty Schladen, reporter, Ohio Capital Journal
  • Jeremy Pelzer, Politics reporter, Cleveland.com
