The Milk Street Simple cookbook.
Milk Street
The Milk Street Simple cookbook.

Cookbooks are a booming business for the publishing industry. About 20 million or so are sold each year. The pandemic saw a spike not only in sales but in cooking at home.

Cooks of all stripes are looking for faster, easier and tastier ways to get food on the table each day.

The latest offering from Christopher Kimball’s Milk Street is titled “Simple.”

Milk Street in Downtown Boston is home to the Milk Street cooking school, a bimonthly magazine and a public television and radio show.

Here to spice up our meal times is James Beard Award-winning food and travel writer J.M. Hirsch. He travels the world as editorial director of Christopher Kimball's Milk Street. He also edited the latest cookbook, “Simple.”
