Who's running to sit on local school boards?

School board races used to be the sleepy, down-ballot contests few outside the district paid much attention to. Not anymore.

Candidates may be non-partisan on paper, but make no mistake, they’re practicing partisan politics at the most grassroots level.

The November election features a slew of contested school board races, and candidates touting parents rights are vying for seats in Worthington, Hilliard and Gahanna and elsewhere.

Nationally, the controversial group Moms for Liberty is at the forefront of the parental rights movement, backing hundreds of school board candidates, including candidates in five Franklin County school districts.
