Tipping is a custom that began in Europe a long time ago but was slow to catch on in America. Fast-forward to today and it seems tip jars or tipping options are part of many transactions, especially if food is involved.
But, has tipping gotten out of hand?
The issue of minimum wage, especially when it comes to tipped workers, is complicated.
In Columbus, restaurants have started charging fees to cover employee’s health benefits in addition to your bill – and don’t forget to add a tip.
An Ohio ballot measure that will affect restaurant workers and owners is being fast-tracked.
