A black plume rises over East Palestine, Ohio, as a result of a controlled detonation of a portion of the derailed Norfolk Southern trains Monday, Feb. 6, 2023.

The crew of the train that derailed in East Palestine three weeks ago tried to respond after getting a warning, but investigators say that it appears the warning didn’t sound soon enough to give them time.

Now lawmakers are asking questions with hearings set to begin this week in the Ohio Senate.

We get the latest on the aftermath of the derailment and more on our Weekly Reporter Roundtable.
