The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention last week shortened the number of days a COVID-positive person must isolate, from 10 days to five days if symptom-free.
The new guidelines stopped short of requiring testing after the isolation period, a position that comes as the highly contagious omicron variant infects a record number of people in Ohio and across the U.S.
Today on Wellness Wednesday on All Sides with Ann Fisher, an infectious disease expert explains the new guidelines.
Guests:
- Dr. Mahdee Sobhanie, infectious disease physician, Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center
- Dr. Grant Brenner, psychiatrist, author, and blogger for Psychology Today
- Dr. Wayne Grody, director of the Diagnostic Molecular Pathology Laboratory at UCLA Medical Center
