Abortion rights advocates and anti-abortion protesters demonstrate in front of the U.S. Supreme Court, Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, in Washington, as the court hears arguments in a case from Mississippi, where a 2018 law would ban abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy, well before viability.

The Supreme Court yesterday heard nearly two hours of oral arguments in the case Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization which will decide what abortion rights in America look like for decades.

And Congress faces an end of year crunch with must pass legislation piling up including bills to avert a government shutdown and a U.S. default.
