How Hospitals Are Dealing With The Latest Surge Of COVID-19

The surge in COVID-19 cases has resulted in a return to masking mandates and other public health policies throughout the country.

It also has some hospitals nearing, or exceeding, capacity and creating competition for available workers. This is overwhelming hospital staff and facilities in major metropolitan centers as well as rural areas.

However, COVID-19 is not the only health concern hospitals are facing. With flu season around the corner and other health concerns needing medical attention, what can medical facilities do to meet these challenges? In some cases, they’ve needed to curtail lucrative sources of revenue such as elective procedures.

We check in with how hospitals are dealing with the latest surge of COVID-19 nationally and in Ohio.
