Amid the chaos of the American withdrawal from Afghanistan, President Joe Biden’s approval rating slipped to the lowest point in his administration in the latest NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll.

The war in Afghanistan is largely seen as a failure, although Americans are split on how the withdrawal should have been handled.
