The tale of Bishop Sycamore has all the makings of an ESPN documentary. The Columbus-based team appeared on ESPN last week against elite IMG Academy of Florida and lost 58-0.
It’s also a cautionary tale about the world of prep school sports, the money spent on and attention paid to youth sports. But it attracted attention to the issue of prep school sports.
Today on All Sides with Ann Fisher, we look at the culture of sports prep schools, where they come from and how they fit into a football-obsessed nation.
Guests:
- Bailey Johnson prep sports reporter for The Columbus Dispatch
- Mike Stone, president and founder of Prep School Sports Connection
- Tim Stried, director of media relations for the Ohio High School Athletic Association
