Dr. Anthony Fauci said this week there should be a vaccine mandate for teachers and others who work around students. He acknowledged his position would likely upset some who dislike mandates or are hesitant to be vaccinated.

His comments come as the delta variant has fuleled a nationwide surge of COVID above 100,000 a day, a 10-fold increase since June.
