When the previous eviction moratorium expired at the end of July, the Centers for Disease Control ordered a new, more limited ban on evictions in counties with heightened levels of community transmission.
But a Franklin county municipal judge has embraced an appeals court decision in July that says the CDC overstepped its authority with the 2020 moratorium to help curb the spread of COVID-19.
