“Hillbilly Elegy” author and U.S. Senate candidate J.D. Vance spent last week walking back past negative comments about former President Trump, including calling him “noxious” and “reprehensible.”

Vance has deleted old tweets and said Trump as president “proved him wrong." The author turned venture capitalist is the latest candidate to join the race to replace retiring Sen. Rob Portman.

Today on “All Sides with Ann Fisher:” the U.S. Senate race is just one that’s heating up. It’s our Weekly Reporter Roundtable.

Guests:

  • Karen Kasler, bureau chief, Ohio Public Radio Statehouse News Bureau
  • Jeremy Pelzer, politics reporter at cleveland.com
  • Adrienne Robbins, statehouse reporter, WCMH-TV (NBC4)
