First Sunday early in-person voters lined up around the Stark Board of Elections, through the back lot to the street.

The 2020 election saw the highest voter turnout in more than a century and the enthusiasm of young voters played a big role in that.

Turnout estimates for voters between 18 and 29-years-old are as high as 55%, nearly 10 points higher than 2016. But that still puts young voters dead last in turnout among age groups.

Today on All Sides with Ann Fisher, we look at young voter turnout in 2020 and efforts in Ohio to get even more young voters to the polls.

Guests:

  • Kelly Beadle, project lead, Center for Information & Research on Civic Learning and Engagement
  • Jen Miller, director, League of Women Voters of Ohio
  • Ronald J. Hansen, national political reporter
  • Matina Bliss, project director, Kids Voting Ohio
