Nearly 2.7 million children in the U.S. have a parent behind bars. That’s one in every 28 children.

Finding a way for incarcerated parents to connect with their children during the pandemic hasn’t been easy. But a songwriting workshop at the Ohio Reformatory for Women found a way to maintain the connection – virtually.
