U.S. Food and Drug Administration officials today will hear from an advisory panel of outside experts, the first step in the authorization process for the Pfizer vaccine for COVID-19.

Pfizer will ship 300,000 doses to Ohio next week. Health care workers and nursing home residents are first in line.
