Two associates of former Ohio House Speaker Larry Householder last week pleaded guilty to federal charges in an alleged $61 million bribery scheme to pass a nuclear bailout bill.

Hours later, First Energy, the company believed to have bankrolled the scheme, fired its CEO and two top executives.
