A federal judge ruled Thursday that the U.S. Census count will continue through October 31, blocking a Trump Administration plan to end it a month early.

Census figures help determine congressional representation and how $1.5 trillion in federal funding is distributed, money that pandemic-ravaged cities desperately need.
