Battelle and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center have developed a new rapid, sensitive diagnostic test for COVID-19.

Battelle and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center announced Monday they’ve developed a rapid diagnostic test for COVID-19.

Researchers say the new system can process about 200 tests a day, with results in as little as five hours. The goal is to run 1,000 tests a day.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine said Wednesday the new test will “certainly save lives.”
