Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine and the state Department of Health ordered all hospitals to halt elective surgeries, hoping to free up equipment and staff for a predicted surge in COVID-19 patients.
Ohio had 67 confirmed coronavirus cases in 16 counties as of Tuesday and 17 people have been hospitalized.
Health officials say the second COVID-19 case in Columbus appears to be the result of community spread.
