Voters cast their ballots at the Cincinnati Public Library's polling station, Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019, in Cincinnati.

Crime, drugs, and guns top the list of social issues most concerning to African Americans in Ohio, according to a statewide poll released last week.

The Ohio Legislative Black Caucus Foundation collaborated with the Akron University Bliss Institute to poll 1,500 black Ohioans on a wide range of issues.

Most favored small government and gun rights, but overwhelmingly supported abortion rights and stricter environmental laws.

Today on the Weekly Reporter Roundtable: perspectives of black Ohioans and more in political news.

Guests:

  • Jo Ingles, Reporter, Ohio Public Radio Statehouse News Bureau
  • Jessie Balmert, state government reporter, Cincinnati Enquirer
