The Ohio House has approved a bill that in the spirit of free expression would extend to religious expression in assignments, prayer, artwork and clothing in public schools.
Critics say the bill could require teachers to give credit for inaccurate answers that are part of a student’s religious beliefs. They say that the U.S. Constitution and state law already protect religious expression in schools.
