A new play showing in Columbus puts the history of an LGBT couple center stage.
“The Turkey Men,” follows a gay couple from the Civil War era who live on their old turkey farm as ghosts. The couple meet and eventually help a young lesbian girl who is faced with conversion therapy.
This play is just one way that entertainment is telling LGBT stories, although this hasn’t always been the case.
