Google and Facebook are as ubiquitous in France as the U.S.
But those tech giants and others like them from outside France pay little tax on the profits that they earn there.
The French Government has responded with a 3% digital services tax, which could trigger retaliatory tariffs and already has the Trump administration investigating.
