Ohio lawmakers are pushing off some controversial legislation, such as the "Heartbeat" and the "Stand Your Ground" bills, until next year.
Gov. John Kasich is expected to veto the former, while senators declined to vote on the gun provisions until after the end of the lame-duck session.
