Foster Youth Education In Ohio

Reports find it hard for teenagers in foster care to transition into adulthood addressing a bump that leaves them falling behind in education.

According to a recent report by a child welfare advocacy group, less than half of former foster youths in Ohio have a high school diploma or equivalent by the age of 21, which is well below the national average of three out of every four.
