Ohio's Medical Marijuana Rollout

Ohio Public Radio Statehouse News Bureau

Gov. Kasich signed Ohio's medicinal marijuana law in 2016, giving the state two years to build the program by the Sept. 8, 2018 deadline.

But the state missed that goal.

The Ohio Department of Commerce and two other agencies are still at work to get the program up and running in coming months. The state needs to license cultivators and cerify others to process and sell the drugs.

Today on All Sides, we’ talk about medicinal cannabis with the Director of the Ohio Department of Commerce.

Guests:

  • Mark Hamlin, senior policy advisor, Ohio Department of Commerce

  • Jacqueline Williams, director, Ohio Department of Commerce
