The CDC reports that two fifths of children's diets is comprised of empty calories. These calories come from foods such as pizza and grain desserts as well as pop and whole milk. Many times these foods are more affordable than their healthier counterparts. Summer lunch programs such as Go Lunch! are helping to give kids the nutritious food they can miss out on during summer months.
Join us today as we discuss childhood nutrition, summer lunch programs and more.
