The New Federal Rule Aiming to Redefine Overtime Pay

The U.S. Department of Labor has proposed a new rule that would make millions of Americans eligible for overtime pay. The federal regulation would be the first update to overtime rules in 12 years. While some welcome the change, others believe it will hurt employers and in effect, backfire on employees.
