Wikimedia Commons

In Ohio, heroin overdoses have almost tripled in the last three years. A new reduction program, called Safe Point, is aimed at  creating a needle-exchange program that prevents infectious diseases among users and creates a safe and respectful place for addicts and their families.

Surgeons at the Cleveland Clinic are preparing for the first ever uterus transplant performed in the U.S. Also, the Ohio Department of Health has launched an anti-tobacco campaign to help veterans stop smoking.
