With data centers and tech industries moving into Ohio, demand for energy is growing rapidly.

In his State of the State speech, Gov. Mike DeWine will likely highlight the priorities from his budget, some of which his fellow Republicans leading the House and Senate have not enthusiastically embraced.

Like a similar attempt to cut costs by Republicans in Congress, the Ohio lawmakers are calling themselves the DOGE caucus.

A federal judge blocked ICE from deporting Columbia University student and protest organizer Mahmoud Khalil after he was arrested by ICE despite legally being in the U.S. on a green card. The arrest has Muslim and student groups questioning their ability to protest.

The video showed white men in Ku Klux Klan hoods and pornographic scenes and included antisemitic remarks and slurs against Black and gay people.

Ohio State University is one of 60 higher education institutions across the country that had been named as targets of an investigation by the Trump administration into what it calls "antisemitic harassment and discrimination" against Jewish students on campus.

Although advocates are lobbying Ohio lawmakers to fund free meals for K-12 students in the biennial state budget, one legislative leader has already dismissed the idea.
