Columbus City Council is moving to spread the word about changes coming soon to council's makeup which includes nine districts.
Council will enter into a $150,000 contract with Dublin-based marketing firm Triumph Communications to promote the upcoming shift to a hybrid at-large system.
The new system has nine districts, instead of the current seven, and would require council members to live in the district they represent. The system also implements an at-large style of election, in which council members will be chosen by a city-wide vote.

All nine council seats are up for election this November due to the new system.
Council also will draw lots to stagger future elections, with some of the newly elected members only serving a two-year term.
The nine districts are part of a council overhaul approved by voters in 2018.
