In this week's episode:
You Don't Need A Weatherman To Know Which Way The Wind Blows
Quinnipiac University put out its latest Ohio poll this week. It shows that former Vice President Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, and President Donald Trump are basically tied among registered voters. Trump polled well on the economy, but Biden fared better on issues of race relations and crisis response.
The poll had excellent news for Gov. Mike DeWine, whose approval rating is at an all-time high. Surprisingly, 88% of Democrats approve of the governor's performance but only 74% of Republicans do.
The poll also inquired about the coronavirus reponse and found that about 60% felt that the timing of "reopening" the economy was "about right." Despite that, 70% feel that the state will have to shut down again to combat the disease.
Snollygoster Of The Week: Young People
Large numbers of young TikTok users and K-Pop fans decided to register for tickets at Trump's Tulsa rally with no intention of going. The Trump campiagn predicted large numbers of attendees, but the president ended up speaking to an half-empty arena.
