Bernie Still Burnin'
Despite a less-than-desirable performance in the most recent primary, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders will remain in the race. Sanders acknowledges his campaign is losing the electability argument, but is looking forward to a one-on-one debate with Joe Biden this weekend.
Congressional Primaries
In Ohio's 3rd District, longtime Rep. Joyce Beatty faces a challenge from the left in newcomer Morgan Harper. Beatty has more campaign cash and has not shown up to all the candidate forums, but she's not taking her place in this gerrymandered district for granted.
In the 4th District, three Democrats and one independent are working to unseat Republican Rep. Jim Jordan. Allegations that Jordan knew about sexual abuse in Ohio State's wrestling program while he was a coach may hurt his chances if they gain validity.
The Democratic primary in the 12th District has two candidiates hoping to unseat Republican Rep. Troy Balderson. Businesswoman Alaina Shearer is the party's endorsed candidate, but nurse practitioner Jenny Bell is defining her campaign with support for single-payer health care.
